A Startup Studio is an environment set up to maximise the chance of success for early stage innovations. It can be used to avoid the “innovator’s dilemma”, a common challenge for large companies.

A Startup Studio is formed around individuals, not ideas. One or more teams work with multiple ideas with the main goal to validate them as soon (and as cheaply) as possible. The “startups” should take the path from Empathy, to Stickiness over to Growth as can be seen in the image below.

The Empathy-phase focuses on pain points and problems. The Stickiness phase is all about shaping the product and the Growth phase is where the project leaves the Startup Studio to grow on its own.
